I have worked across a number of sectors before joining Adam Smith College as a lecturer some 7 years ago. I lecture in strategy, accounting and economics teaching at all levels up to Honours Degree level. Returning to education was one of the best decisions I have made as it opened up new opportunities for me.
I have spent a large part of my working life in manufacturing with Tullis Russell, Babygro and Sun Microsystems before moving on to work in outbound sales with local call centres.
I joined the Labour Party after the 2010 General Election because I could no longer ‘sit back and do nothing’. I believe politics is local and as such we should focus all our efforts on delivering better services for our communities. It is for this reason that I am standing for election.
